Abstract

In addition to the giant Udokan deposit, the rocks of the Udokan Supergroup contains several satellite Cu-Ag-Fe deposits. They are located in different formations at different stratigraphic levels. They differ strongly in mineral and chemical composition from the Udokan ores, often displaying much higher silver grades. The hypogene copper mineralization in these deposits consists of chalcopyrite, bornite, and, to a much lesser extent, chalcocite. Many rare minerals were found here. The deposits are of complex genesis, and for some, the hydrothermal origin was proven.
