Abstract
Water quality and urolithiasis have often been correlated. However, views are conflicting and can be divided into three categories: a) water hardness causing high prevalence; b) water softness causing high prevalence; and c) no relationship between the two. In the present study, we have evaluated whether or not water hardness or softness or mineral and trace element content are critical in stone formation.
