Overweight and Calcium Stone Disease

Abstract

Calcium stone disease prevails in the developed countries and has continued to increase during the present century with concomitant industrialization and affluence. Dietary habits in particular appear to play an important role in favoring the risk of urinary calcium stones. Therefore we investigated the prevalence of overweight patients with idiopathic calcium urolithiasis (ICU) and its relationship with some urinary parameters.
