Abstract
Zirconium alloys which are extensively used in nuclear industry have texture from manufacturing processes, and the presence of such a texture is one of the main causes of various dimensional instabilities due to irradiation creep and growth as well as yielding characteristics.1 Therefore quantitative determination of texture is important not only for the estimation of texture-related macroscopic properties of the material but also for the control of the manufacturing process. Traditionally texture has been determined by X-ray or neutron diffraction.
