Abstract
Two major sensory pathways that ascend entirely in the dorsal lateral funiculus are the spinocervical tract and the spinomedullary tract that ends in nucleus z. In addition, the dorsal lateral funiculus contains parts of the postsynaptic pathway to the dorsal column nuclei (see Chapter 7), of the spinothalamic tract, and of the spinomesencephalic tract (see Chapter 9).
