Specifications for Implementing the Tests

Abstract

As anyone who has ever tried knows, translating programs from one computer to another is no easy task. For this reason, the easiest way to try out the tests described in this book is to buy an identical computing system. However, adapting the programs to run on another computing system is not impossible. In fact, the programs were purposely written in BASIC so that they could be run by most microcomputers. Unfortunately, BASIC comes in many different dialects, so some rewriting cannot be avoided. The present chapter is intended to make the job of adapting the programs to different computers as easy as possible. First, the necessary hardware requirements are discussed and then the programs themselves are presented.
