Part of the book series: Basic Life Sciences ((BLSC,volume 27))

Abstract

An appropriate analysis of the lamellar x-ray or neutron diffraction data from a membrane multilayer can provide the x-ray scattering (or electron) density or neutron scattering density profile for the membrane to moderate resolution.a The membrane multilayer can occur naturallyb or be formed from either isolatedc or reconstitutedd membranes.
