  • Chapter

Abstract

In the Spanish Autonomous Community of Aragón, with about 1.200.000 inhabitants, there are currently 314 patients suffering from chronic renal failure (CRF). They are undergoing hemodialysis in 7 public hospitals. These centers centralize their controls of the aluminum (Al) levels in the patients’ sera and in the fluids used for dialysis in the “Unidad de Metales del Servicio de Bioquímica” of the Miguel Servet Hospital.
