Abstract

We have now devoted six chapters to analyzing single oscillators (i.e., oscillators with one current loop or one mass) and have developed techniques for solving single-oscillator problems. In the present chapter we extend these techniques to networks, i.e., systems of interacting single oscillators. Chapters 9–13 analyze certain networks in a more systematic way, using new techniques. Most of the networks considered in this and later chapters are electrical rather than mechanical, because a much greater variety of electrical than mechanical networks can be constructed.
