Abstract
Arduino can work as the heart of the PLCs that we are going to build. The basic type of Arduino, Arduino UNO, is best for learning basic concepts behind the PLCs as well as implementing prototypes with a combination of hardware (inputs, outputs) and software (Arduino software and libraries like plcLib and Modbus).
