Abstract
This chapter takes a closer look at the standard model created for the segmentation and implementation of the constituent activities of networking. As mentioned in Chapter 4, information needs to be transmitted across the network one small, manageable packet at a time. So each packet may be considered as a passenger that needs to be provided transit services.
