Abstract
This chapter covers designing and implementing enterprise-class virtualization solutions. I focus on Kernel-Based Virtual Machine (KVM) because it is Linux based. The topics in this chapter include how to understand virtualization, select hardware, and configure networks; storage; file system choices; optimization; security concerns; and a reference architecture to put it all together.
