Abstract
We have demonstrated unequivocal macroscopic violations of the Cauchy Schwarz inequalityl: [g (2)12 (t)]2 ≤ g (2)11 (0)g (2)22 (0), for both hunched and antihunched incoherent light using a series connected pair of infrared emitting diodes2 to generate intensity-correlated twin beams of variable Fano factor, 30 > F i > 0.05. These results show clearly that the macroscopic violation is a fundamental quantum phenomenon, fully consistent with the “classical particle” model of incoherent light beam splitting suggested by Paul3.
