Abstract
Few processes are used for amplification of optical signals: stimulated emission of atoms and molecules, stimulated scattering of light, optical parametric conversion, four-wave mixing, etc. In this paper we study the optical amplifier of a new type, which is based on light modulation and is surely opto electronic device. Due to opto-electronic nature this amplifier is completely controllable. Also, we study the “lasing” regimes of modulation based oscillator where the input of the amplifier is fed from the output. The modulation based oscillator caul be considered as a laser light transformer which improves the stability of intensity and frequency of initial laser radiation.
