Abstract
Recently some new two-photon correlation measurements for testing local realism without explicit use of Bell inequalities were proposed by Hardy 1, and the idea was further developed by Jordan2. The interpretation of the results of the proposed measurements is close in spirit to the original ideas put forward by Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen3. We have carried out 2 photon-coincidence counting measurements based on the new Hardy-Jones approach that lead to a violation of local realism by about 45 standard deviations.4
