Abstract

A large single domain of the Ag-doped YBaCuO-system superconductor was prepared. To estimate the effect of the Ag adding, the Jc and the trapped magnetic field were measured. The entire sample was uniformly magnetized and the trapped magnetic field formed a single dome shape. The Jc value decreased with the increase of the Ag content. The decrease rate of the Jc value was calculated by assuming that the Ag was not effective in the flux pinning. The calculated decrease rate is approximately equal to the experimental results.
