Abstract
Molecular dynamics simulations of the two-dimensional flux line lattice were performed for different types of intervortex interactions and pinning potentials. A ground state, the shear modulus c 66, and the current-voltage characteristics were calculated. The results were extrapolated to the case of a purely two-dimensional lattice of pancake vortices, which exists in strongly layered thallium and bismuth high-T c superconductors.
