Abstract

The advances in UWB pulser performance over the last decade have given rise to a large number of novel concepts covering a wide range of applications. Pulser characteristics are extremely varied, ranging from outputs of a few millivolts to megavolts and repetition frequencies of single shot to megahertz. Size, weight and prime power requirements vary significantly and it is now a major task for the engineer to be able to select the optimum pulser for his application. Research is still being conducted into new components and designs which now need to be tailored to a broader range of applications.
