Abstract

We have measured the two thermoelectric coefficients S(T, H) and G(T, H) for polycrystalline and single crystal aluminum samples in magnetic fields to 5T from 3–6K. All measurements were made in a longitudinal geometry with the electrical current and heat current in the samples parallel to the applied magnetic field. An analysis of the oscillations is given in terms of magnetic breakdown and current distortion effects.
