Abstract

The aim of the present review is to analyze the present state of the statistical theory of multiple production of strongly interacting particles at high energies and the applications of this theory. Apart from the processes for which it was created, this theory has been able to explain (and even predict) other related effects, like large-angle statistical scattering.
