Regulation of Pensions in the UK

  • Chapter

Abstract

This paper deals mainly with occupational pensions. These are pensions provided by the employer, on which the UK relies very heavily. Most of the problems of regulation arise with private sector employers, rather than those in the public services, although the framework of U.K. pensions law does not make the clear-cut distinctions there are in some other countries.
