Abstract
This chapter is concerned with predelinquent and preadjudication methods for preventing and controlling delinquency and adult offending. We shall also discuss in some detail the rehabilitation and treatment that have been applied at the postadjudication stage. Throughout the chapter we emphasize the importance of a proper scientific enquiry.
