Abstract

2-Furaldehyde Oxime. A solution of 34.8 g (0.5 mole) of hydroxylamine hydrochloride and 38.4 g (0.4 mole) of freshly distilled 2-furaldehyde were introduced into a 500-ml three-necked round-bottomed flask fitted with mercury-sealed stirrer, reflux condenser, and dropping funnel.
