Abstract
Studying sibling relationships in the first portion of the life span is important, whether they are studied in infancy, early childhood, childhood, or adolescence. Siblings can be major influences in one another’s lives because each sibling lives in an environment which is different by virtue of the influence of the other siblings as well as that of various other family and extrafamilial factors.
