Abstract
The drainage system in urban areas serves a large number of functions. The most important are:

Prevention of flooding.

Discharge of polluted wastewater in a sanitary acceptable way. Maintaining a minimum bearing capacity of the soil.

Guaranteeing accessibility within the area.

Providing reasonable hydrological conditions for urban aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems;

Creating an aesthetically acceptable environment.
