Abstract

Most fibroadenomas are small, round, freely movable, well-encapsulated nodules that are easily diagnosed on physical examination and occur most often in women aged 15 to 30. Operation is indicated because some of these tumors will continue to grow, especially during pregnancy. Occassionally, carcinoma may masquerade as a fibroadenoma.
