Abstract
Therapy of chronic uveitis is an unsatisfactory chapter in ophthalmology. Recurrent, long-lasting opacities of the vitreous, secondary cataract and cystic edema of the macula mostly varying in intensity give rise to reductions of vision which are very depressing for the patients. Vascular proliferations, formation of epiretinal membranes or a retinal detachment can occur in addition.
