Abstract

Electromagnetic cavities are encountered in many applications, such as in forming shielding structures for high-speed/high-frequency electronic circuits, and as high quality factor resonators. Since the analysis of electromagnetic cavities is standard in many texts, the treatment here is somewhat brief and directed toward highlighting aspects of cavity analysis associated with the mathematical topics previously covered.
