Abstract
In addition to the presence of β- and α-adrenergic receptors on lymphocytes and other immunocompetent cells (Sanders et al., 2001), anatomical studies have revealed the direct contact between tyrosine hydroxylase positive nerve terminals and lymphocytes in the spleen (Bellinger et al., 2001). However, the effects of noradrenaline (NA) on the immune responses in vitro are rather complicated depending on Th predominance, and the dose of NA (for review see Hori et al., 1995; Madden, 2001).
