Abstract
Throughout this book we have described the kinds of problems and issues that interest clinical sociologists and illustrated how sociologists work to bring about desired change. The scope of the field is broad and the number of complex problems needing intervention continues to increase. Therefore, the future of clinical sociology holds a plethora of new challenges and opportunities. Our purpose here is to establish a structure and agenda for the further development of clinical sociology and discuss possible directions for the field in the next decade.
