Abstract
This chapter describes the Synopsys DesignWare concept introduced in chapter 1 (section 1.1.5). The advantage of DesignWare lies in that one can use these pre-existing components to easily implement designs. This chapter also discusses the mechanism for inferring complex cells using DesignWare. The steps involved in building your own DesignWare library are outlined. Finally, classic scenarios involving DesignWar are described and solutions provided.
