Abstract
Good evening Mr. Moderator, members of the Bradley Department of Electrical Engineering and distinguished guests. Thank you for inviting me to share our experiences at ESL, a TRW company, with you today. As one of ESL’s new venture managers, I am part of the team responsible for implementing the company’s defense conversion strategy. ESL has a unique and successful approach to defense conversion. It’s unique because we’ve developed an internal process by which our employees can bring forward ideas, and turn them into viable businesses. It’s successful because we have launched six new ventures in the last eight months.
