Abstract

In Reunion Island, the main tephritid species damaging fruit crops are the medfly Ceratitis capitata Wiedemann, and the Natal fruit fly Ceratitis (Pterandus) rosa Karsch: the latter species is by far the most important one (Etienne, 1982).
