Abstract
The discussion now proceeds to the subject of decision-making in groups. For our purpose, a group is defined as a number of individuals or subgroups that share a common purpose or have one or more common objectives. For example, members of a committee which has been set up to organize an exhibition constitute a group, as do nations linked together by a treaty and companies engaged in a joint venture. These group members can be envisaged as in Fig. 6-1.
