Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to review the state of the display art in the U.K. First of all, one might well ask two obvious questions—how many displays will ultimately be used in the U.K., and where (and how) will they be used? The answer to these questions will determine future hardware product policy, and the type of software which will need to be implemented.
