Secular Evolution in Brussels Between 1960 and 1980

  • Chapter

Abstract

In many industrial countries — Belgium among them — a secular evolution to higher stature and weight has often been observed (Eveleth and Tanner, 1976; Chamla, 1964). In recent years, some observers suggest however that these processes may be coming to a halt (Bakwin, 1964; Damon, 1968, 1974).
