Abstract

In 1956 Stearns-Roger was commissioned under Air Force Contract 04(611) Z041 with the Directorate of Missile Captive Test to make an engineering study of the different methods of insulating a liquid oxygen transfer line to be installed at the Experimental Rocket Engine Test Laboratory, Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards, California. Subsequently, the contract was expanded to include actual design, fabrication and installation of an insulated liquid oxygen line.
