Abstract

In this chapter we consider calculated intensities and dispersions of several lower modes of Love waves in the period range in which these waves are propagated mainly in the earth’s crust and in which they practically never penetrate into the mantle (i.e., their phase velocities are lower than the velocities of transverse waves in the mantle — see pp. 20–21).
