Abstract

Environmental pollutants in the marine ecosystem are known to invade fish tissue. Yet, in spite of numerous studies, little quantitative data is available to delineate the nature of the deposition--the precise location of pollutant in tissues and organs involved. Even less is known of physiological/pharmacological effects (whether physical or chemical in nature--or both) whichmay arise with entry of pollutants.
