Abstract

My path into Flash was different from most, as a 3D animator specializing in digital video, I became interested in Flash as a means to produce animated textures for 3D Studio MAX. Having a low-cost vector paint application that could export to QuickTime format enabled a wide range of visual effects in video that would have been difficult to create directly in 3DS MAX. The fact that Flash could be used to create animations for both web and broadcast-video delivery was very exciting, although my primary use of Flash was FX for video.
