Summary
In summary, supplemental Cr has been shown to have beneficial effects on people with glucose intolerance, diabetes, obesity and neuropathy. The majority of the well controlled studies involving Cr and body composition also show beneficial effects of Cr on lean body mass. However, these conditions are due to a number of other causes that may be unrelated to Cr, therefore Cr will only be of benefit to those whose maladies are related to suboptimal Cr status.
