About this book series

It has been argued that Jaakko Hintikka's work is likely to revolutionize our ideas about logical theory and about the foundations of mathematics. Likewise, his work on such areas as epistemology and philosophy of science is said to open new large-scale opportunities for further development. The Jaakko Hintikka Selected Papers comprises a series of volumes with which Kluwer aims to make Hintikka's work available to the philosophical community.
The volumes in the series are organized topically and reflect the breadth of Hintikka's interests. The scholarly articles reprinted in these volumes include most of Hintikka's - so far - uncollected papers. Their emphasis is not retrospective, however. Each volume constitutes a contribution, often a breakthrough contribution, to the ongoing exploration of Hintikka's subject matter.
Discontinued series: although this series no longer publishes new content, the published titles listed here remain available.
