About this book

The aim of this book is to present the concepts and technologies used in modern robots, with an emphasis on fixed-base robots for industrial applications. It is designed to serve as a text for an undergraduate engineering course or as an introduction for graduates new to the area. The first few chapters describe the structure of a robot and is hardware components, followed by descriptions of good dynamic control and robot programming. The second part of the book develops the theme of adding external sensors and other equipment to the simple robot for more advanced applications.
