About the authors

STEVEN SHARDLOW is Senior Lecturer in Social Work Studies at the University of Sheffield, where he is Associate Director of the MA/Diploma in Social Work and Co-Director of Practice Teaching Studies.

MARK DOEL is Lecturer in Social Work Studies and Co-Director of Practice Teaching Studies at the University of Sheffield. He is also a freelance training consultant.
