Introduction
This book defines and reviews the clinical status of metastatic disease and the present status of response to radiation and chemotherapy, identifies factors associated with and/or responsible for tumor metastasis and evaluates the role of various growth factors in metastasis and therapy. It also considers the possible relationship between the overexpression of oncogenes and clinical resistance to chemotherapy and possible therapeutic strategies arising from this relationship, if proven.
