About these proceedings

This book includes high-quality research papers presenting the latest advances in aerospace and related engineering fields. The papers are organized according to six broad areas (i) Aerospace Propulsion, (ii) Space Research, Avionics and Instrumentation, (iii) Aerodynamics Wind Tunnel and Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), (iv) Structural Analysis and Finite Element Method (FEM), (v) Materials, Manufacturing and Air Safety and (vi) Aircraft Environmental and Control System and Stability, making it easy for readers to find the information they require.

Offering insights into the state of the art in aerospace engineering, the original research presented is valuable to academics, researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as professionals in industry and R&D.

The clearly written book can be used for the validation of data, and the development of experimental and simulation techniques as well as other mathematical approaches.

About the editors

Dr. Sanjay Singh completed his B.E (Aero) in 1998 at PEC Chandigarh. He completed his M.Tech (Aerospace) and Ph.D (Aerospace) at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) in 2002 and 2008, respectively. He served as the Project Associate at IIT Kanpur from March–May, 2002 and July–December, 2006. He has been working as an academic since 2007 and he was appointed as the Director of the Aerospace Engineering Department, Amity University, U.P in 2012. He has authored several articles published in journals and conferences. He has worked in the fields of Flight Mechanics, Stability and Control, and Neural Network. He has been a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET, UK) since 2013 and a life member of the International Association for Continuing Engineering Education (IACEE), USA, since January 2014. Under his leadership the Aerospace Engineering Department at Amity University received accreditation from National Assessment and Accreditation Cou

ncil (NAAC), IET-UK.

Dr. Pushkar Raj received his M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) in 1991 and his doctorate from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra in 2013. He is a dynamic professional with 33 years of experience of managing scientific research and development projects at the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), focusing on long-term planning, policymaking, organizational restructuring & change management and coordination with other government departments. He has published several research papers at national and international levels. He is a life member of the Computer Society of India and a fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)-Delhi. He has advised on matters related to budget allocation, projects, and induction of DRDO products in the armed forces, paramilitary forces, and police organizations. He has been involved in about 200 DRDO projects to analyze

the reasons for cost and program delivery control (PDC) overruns and suggested solutions. He retired from his position of Director-Defense Technology Commission at the DRDO in 2015.

Dr. Samir Tambe received his B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) in 2002, M.S, Ph.D, and post doctorate fellowship from the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, University of Cincinnati, in 2004, 2010, and 2012, respectively. He has been working as a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University of Cincinnati since May, 2012. He is a senior member of the prestigious American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and a member of the Institute for Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems (ILASS). His work in the fields of propulsion, combustion, and heat transfer has been pioneering.
