About these proceedings

Introduction

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the First Big Social Data and Urban Computing Workshop, BiDU 2018, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in August 2018. 
The 11 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 40 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on urban mobility, urban sensing, contemporary social problems, collaboration and crowdsourcing.
