The use of reactive dyes in biotechnology has burgeoned over the last two decades with the development of new ways of exploiting conventional textile dyes for the purification and analysis of proteins. This book examines the chemistry of reactive dyes and their extensive application in dye-ligand affinity chromatography, both at analytical and larger scales, and more recently, in high performance liquid affinity chromatography and aqueous affinity partition.
