Radiation length of the oriented crystal

Abstract

The radiation length X 0′ of the 〈111〉 tungsten crystal is not a constant, and depends on the crystal temperature and thickness, and the electron energy. The radiation length estimated at the temperature T disorient at which the crystal becomes almost an amorphous material incapable of orientation is X 0d ′ ∼ 9 mm.
