Abstract
First- and second-order corrections to the Tamm formula are obtained at small ratios of the point charge track length in the case of Cherenkov radiation to the distance to the reception point for the finite track in the Fresnel zone. The result is discussed in the context of actual conditions of the LORD lunar experiment on measurements of radio emission from cascades produced by neutrinos and cosmic rays near the lunar surface.
